We believe privacy should be straightforward. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it. We do not sell your data. Ever.
# Who we are
Verifind is an email validation service operated from Lagos, Nigeria. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", it means Verifind and the team running it.

# What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
Account information
- ·Your email address (used to log you in and contact you)
- ·Password (hashed — we never see it in plain text)
- ·The date and time you signed up
Usage data
- ·Email addresses you submit for validation
- ·Validation results and scores
- ·Bulk job history
- ·API key usage counts
Payment information
- ·Transaction IDs from Flutterwave
- ·Amount, currency, and plan purchased
- ·We do not store card numbers — Flutterwave handles that
Technical data
- ·Your IP address (used for currency detection and fraud prevention)
- ·Browser type and device (from standard server logs)
- ·Pages you visit and actions you take in the app
# How we use it
We use the data we collect to:
- ✓Provide and improve the email validation service
- ✓Authenticate you and keep your account secure
- ✓Process payments and manage your subscription or credits
- ✓Send you transactional emails (job completions, payment confirmations, password resets)
- ✓Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and spam
- ✓Understand how people use the product so we can make it better
- ✓Contact you about important changes to the service or these terms
We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link at the bottom of that email.
# Email addresses you validate
The email addresses you upload for validation are processed to provide the service and stored so that you can access your history and re-download reports. We do not use those addresses for any purpose other than delivering the service to you.
We do not contact the owners of the email addresses you validate, and we do not share those addresses with other Verifind users or with third parties.
If you delete your account, all validation results and uploaded data associated with your account are permanently deleted within 30 days.
# Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Validation results and job history are kept for 12 months by default, after which older records are automatically deleted.
Payment records are kept for 7 years to comply with accounting and tax requirements.
If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except for payment records which are kept for the period required by law.
# Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:
- ·Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ·Correct any inaccurate data we hold
- ·Request that we delete your data (the "right to be forgotten")
- ·Object to or restrict certain types of processing
- ·Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
- ·Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@verifind.name.ng with the subject line "Privacy request". We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the European Union, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in Nigeria, you may contact the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
# Children
Verifind is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at hello@verifind.name.ng and we will delete the account immediately.
# International transfers
Because we use services like Supabase and Vercel, your data may be processed in countries outside Nigeria, including the United States. Where required, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place through standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
# Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email. Continuing to use Verifind after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
